Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens comprises 270 acres of tidal shore land and in 2013 welcomed nearly 100,000 guests throughout the year. To ensure the organization’s infrastructure remains sound and capable of supporting future growth in visitation, a Master Planning committee comprised of staff and board members has begun working on a 20-Year Master Plan.

Lord Cultural Resources assisted Nelson Byrd Woltz in the early development phases of the Master Plan to understand programmatic opportunities, audience potential, and operational implications of the Plan. This work has served to inform the development of the Plan and Garden, shaping not only its long term physical plan but also its program, financial and organizational development strategies.
