New Brunswick commits $50 million to new provincial museum in Saint John

Saint John can expect a new provincial museum in the near future after the provincial government announced $50 million in funding for the construction of the attraction on Monday. “The New Brunswick Museum promotes culture and our important tourism industry,” said Premier Brian Gallant.
In 2016, Lord began work with the New Brunswick Museum on a business plan.

'I'm going to be a part of that': Elementary school students commit to take action on reconciliation

More than 70 students in Grades 4 to 6 visited the Canadian Museum for Human Rights to learn more about the history of residential schools. Later in the year, they will start examining the calls to action and rewrite them in more child-friendly language. Their goals include figuring out what actions they can take to be part of Reconciliation.

NYPL’s Schomburg Center in Harlem reveals its complete two-year renovation

After a nearly two-year renovation, the New York Public Library debuted a host of renovated spaces inside the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. The Center, located in Harlem on Malcolm X Boulevard, is comprised of three interconnected buildings, all of which saw renovations as part of the $22.3 million revamp.

National Gallery of Canada unveils new acquisitions in 2017 Biennial

New Tennessee State Museum Campaign Yields $25m in Donations

The new Tennessee State Museum project has yielded more than $25 million in donations by corporations, foundations and individuals. Museum officials said the money committed during the initial "silent phase" puts the campaign more than halfway toward its $40 million fundraising goal.
