GWINNETT COUNTY ARTS AND CREATIVE ECONOMY MASTER PLAN

Artworks Gwinnett collaborated with numerous municipalities, educational institutions, and community organizations in Gwinnett County to develop the Gwinnett County Arts and Creative Economy Master Plan. This comprehensive plan aimed to establish a unified vision for the county's creative resources while delineating clear priorities, strategies, and tactics to realize this vision. Lord Cultural Resources was engaged in a four-step process, encompassing research, case studies, asset mapping, and community outreach. This meticulous approach involved studying the current state of arts and culture plans, researching comparable locations, inventorying over 500 unique arts and culture organizations, and evaluating the economic impact of Gwinnett's creative economy.

Through extensive community engagement involving over a thousand residents, the master plan outlines a strategic framework to harness Gwinnett County's creativity, cultivate its unique identity, foster innovation, and enhance overall prosperity. The plan's key pillars include building awareness of the county's arts and cultural ecosystem, providing support for creatives and cultural organizations, promoting cultural equity and access through public space activation, and facilitating lifelong arts education and employment opportunities for all residents of Gwinnett County.
